As SIP2? was staged on the 52nd anniversary of the Declaration of Martial Law in the Philippines, it was also a community event and protest – beyond the typical musical acts, the event featured educational discussions from various cultural workers’ groups and other sectoral mass organizations; and F&B offerings from a community kitchen and cafe.
The event's poster and visuals needed to reflect the energy of such an event.

Inspired by simple yet meaningful Russian matchbox illustrations & painted in warm-toned hues — this gig poster was created to honor the bright, breathing, lived-in comfort that The Ridleys has offered us in their first 7 years.
Its main elements are callbacks to some of the band’s most well-loved songs: the sun for ‘Icarus’, the moon for ‘Aphrodite’, and headlights in traffic for ‘Starlit Ocean’.

The brief was simple: include Joric's Isuzu Trooper in the poster!
Created another poster for the Ridleys inspired by their band's character – simple, personal, and always with a touch of human warmth.
