Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

My fun lil' take on book covers for one of my favorite Ishiguro novels.

Reading Never Let Me Go, I loved the imagery of the boarding school grounds and the Judy Bridgewater cassette tape the most, which is why I wanted to highlight them here – in vibrant, shadowy designs for a mysterious, moving story.

 

If I could publish Never Let Me Go in any way I wanted, I’d create a special soft bound cover + hard case set inspired by one of the book’s most important symbols, the cassette tape. It would look, feel, and open up exactly like a cassette tape would, just slightly larger and full of Ishiguro’s words instead of Bridgewater’s songs 〰︎
